Dough Bistro - Modern French Restaurant with Leeds Flair

Formerly a bakery, hence the name, Dough Bistro has progressed and developed over the nine years our Executive chef, Luke Downing has owned the business. Although winning local and national awards and accolades, Downing has stripped back the restaurant to it's roots, and has reintroduced the French theme and bistro cooking that saw Downing bring his Parisienne ideas to these leafy suburbs.

With a consistently changing specials board, serving some of Leeds' best French Cuisine, cocktails you won't find anywhere else, a superbly valued menu de jour, specialist tasting menu and affinity with local produce and business, we look forward to welcoming customers new and old to the new look Dough Bistro, a French style restaurant in North Leeds.

Keep an eye out for our latest venture, in Leeds City Centre, with one floor dedicated to exceptional cocktails and another to tasting plates and fine dining food. Expect innovative and seasonal dishes using local produce and championing Yorkshire, unusual ingredients, fantastic cocktails from some of Leeds best mixologists and cocktails that you won't find anywhere else!





Our menus are created by Dough's award winning chef, Luke Downing and head chef Laura MacLeod, using the best of Yorkshire's amazing ingredients, and specialist items from France. Our blackboard specials change daily, and for those wanting a special treat, try our chef's Tasting Menu. We also offer some traditional and some very untraditional cocktails for those that enjoy something bit different during their meal.

Dough is has once again won 'Best Suburban Restaurant' at the Fantastic Yorkshire Evening Post's Oliver Awards 2017. Our sister restaurant Vice and Virtue, also won 'Best Fine Dining'.

Our sister restaurant and cocktail lounge Vice and Virtue, is getting rave reviews since opening last year. It's located on New Briggate, opposite Belgrave, and is a refined cocktail bar on the first floor, and a soon to open restaurant on the upper floor. A fairly discreet entrance, keep your eyes peeled!

New Summer Menu

Our Summer Menu is now in development, and we can't wait to show you some great changing coming from our award winning team.

Dough is set over two rooms. Both French bistro in style, one with a bar and the main restaurant area, perfect for parties, functions and events of all kinds. 

With a capacity for up to 50 people, and smaller bookings from 18 available to completely hire out of one the sides, we can create a bespoke menu for your party, any day of the week.
